Mounting the Raspberry PI main board
There is a mounting plate on the bottom of the clock back that is designed to hold the Raspberry PI in place and to allow the USB power cable to poke through.
The mounting plate has four tapered pins that align with the four holes in the edge of the RPI board. You need to push the board down on the pins. It is a tight fit but you do not need to push it all the way down - it is designed to hold the board above the wall of the back. Just push the board down far enough to get sufficient access for the USB cable to go into the USB port.
1. Align with RPI board with the four mounting pins on the bottom of the clock back
2. Push down on the board edges to seat the RPI on the mounting pins
3. Push the board far enough down that the USB C cable has access to the ports on the back
